Understanding Stress and Energetic Imbalance

Stress creates imbalances in our energy and present in our physical body. We compensate to keep going.  It often leads to various forms of compensation to maintain our daily routines, such as:

  • Rushing through tasks
  • Feeling anxious or overthinking situations
  • Experiencing physical sluggishness or emotional malaise
  • Developing depression in more severe cases

Physically, these compensatory behaviors can become evident in:

  • Persistent tightness in the chest and shoulders
  • Frequent headaches or TMJ disorders
  • Altered gait, such as walking with a limp or a twist

These compensations can stay present for decades. They happen subconsciously. We may notice discomfort or pain. This is a sign of a preexisting imbalance. Energetic imbalances ALWAYS precede physical, mental and emotional symptoms (signs of imbalances). When we are tired, we tend to be uncomfortable, irritable and have difficulty concentrating. Even with physical injuries there is an energetic imbalance that occurs before or at the time of injury.

It's important to recognize that healing is a personal journey, and clients are encouraged to participate in whatever way feels most natural to them. Flexibility is key, as some may wish to be active at times and passive at others.

Permission from the client to guide the healing process
Setting clear intentions for each session to focus the healing energy

The modalities we use during a session can include a variety of techniques such as:

Utilizing the natural energies of rocks and crystals
Applying essential oils to certain points on meridians
Sharing gentle touch or holding techniques facilitating movement of energy

What and how modalities are utilized is based on the client's level sensitivity to each.
